Red October? How about "Not Over November" - YEAH PHILLIES!!!!

Why do we create jewelry? And why do we wear it? Do we create something just because it’s pretty? Sometimes. But the pieces that really hit home and have some drive to them are the ones that are created out of passion. Passion that embodies a necklace or a pair of earrings and lets the wearer feel like she stands for something when she puts it on (or he, of course!)

Check out my newest webcam photo above. It’s of my Phillies bracelet that I made during game 1 of the World Series 2009. I’ve worn it everyday since the start of the Series, it embodies my belief in my team. The Phils are down on the count right now, this I know, but it doesn’t affect my whole-hearted belief in my team, and that is why I wear my bracelet.

Jewelry and fashion. What would one be without the other? Though jewelry trends change with the season, there is but one constant – Jewelry will NEVER go out of style. As a jewelry creator, you are blessed with the gift of fashion – you can take heed to the season’s hottest trends and create your own unique versions with riveting personal style.

Now, on with Fall Trends 2009! What’s hot this season? And how can we add some of that hotness to our next jewelry designs? The major jewelry trends this fall are big, bold pieces that are rich in COLOR and TEXTURE.

Get in style this fall by creating ornately detailed earrings, necklaces, cocktail rings, chunky bracelets and cuffs. Make elaborate details with gemstones, filigrees, tassles and charm decorum. Fall 2009 is killer for color – Have you seen the Pantone report for this season? Holler! It’s amazingly vibrant, rich and alluring. Asymmetry is a style that is off the beaten path and all over the fashion world. Make your design a little off and you’ve got an eye-catching, modern, “look at me now” piece.

HOW TO PULL IT OFF:
